Activities & Lifestyle Director - Prime Gastonia Create the Experiences That Bring the Prime Lifestyle to Life! Prime Independent Living is seeking a creative, energetic, and people-focused Activities & Lifestyle Director to lead the programs, events, and experiences that make each day meaningful for our residents. As Activities & Lifestyle Director, you'll play a key role in creating a vibrant community where residents can connect, stay active, pursue their interests, and enjoy life to the fullest. From planning engaging events and wellness programs to coordinating outings, celebrations, and resident-led activities, you'll help create the experiences that define the Prime lifestyle. What You'll Do Create Exceptional Lifestyle Experiences Design and implement a dynamic calendar of activities, events, educational programs, wellness opportunities, and social experiences. Develop programs that reflect the interests, preferences, and passions of residents. Meet with new residents to learn about their hobbies, interests, and goals to help create meaningful engagement opportunities. Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and resident-centered environment where everyone feels connected and involved. Plan Events & Community Celebrations Coordinate special events, themed celebrations, holiday programs, entertainment, and community gatherings. Plan and oversee resident outings, local excursions, and special experiences both on and off campus. Partner with local organizations, performers, volunteers, and community groups to enhance programming. Collaborate with dining and other departments to create memorable events and experiences throughout the year. Promote Wellness & Lifelong Engagement Develop programs that support physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Coordinate wellness-focused activities that encourage active, healthy lifestyles. Arrange opportunities for religious services, educational presentations, volunteerism, and community involvement. Ensure programming reflects the diverse interests, backgrounds, and experiences of residents. Lead Communication & Program Promotion Create and distribute monthly activity calendars and community newsletters. Promote events through community communication channels, digital displays, printed materials, and resident outreach. Keep residents informed and excited about upcoming programs and opportunities. Track participation and gather resident feedback to continually enhance programming. Leadership & Community Collaboration Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers who support resident programming. Supervise and mentor lifestyle team members as assigned. Partner with community leadership to support resident satisfaction, occupancy goals, and overall community culture. Assist with community tours and share the Prime lifestyle experience with prospective residents and families. Support special projects and community initiatives as needed. Transportation & Resident Support Coordinate transportation schedules for resident outings and appointments. Drive community vehicles for scheduled events and excursions as needed. Assist residents during outings and special events to ensure a positive experience. Serve as a trusted resource for residents, families, guests, and team members. What We’re Looking For Previous experience in activities, recreation, event planning, hospitality, senior living, community engagement, or a related field. Experience working with older adults preferred. Exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills. Creative mindset with a passion for creating engaging experiences. Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities. Comfortable speaking in front of groups and leading activities. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, newsletters, calendars, and event planning tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Successful completion of background screening and drug testing requirements.
