About the Position

Job Title: RN - Med Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Telemetry Must-Have: Candidates must possess BLS certification. Client experience is preferred. Description: This is a contract position for an RN in the Med Surg unit. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You will be working with a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1. The unit consists of 28 beds with a total staff of 32 FTEs. Day and night shift teams include charge nurses, RNs, and patient care technicians. Typical equipment used on the unit includes Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, and Telemetry. The electronic medical records system used is Meditech. Candidates with 3 years or more nursing experience, particularly in epilepsy care, will be prioritized. The ideal candidate is open to feedback and possesses an owner mentality. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs with the specified logo. Additional information to consider includes new equipment or technology, staff tenure, and schedule options.
