Job Description

Job Summary:
The Echo Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiography studies to assist in patient diagnosis and care. This role requires technical proficiency and certification to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Operate echocardiography equipment to acquire accurate diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Maintain equipment functionality through proper calibration and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth department workflow.
• Document study findings and organize images for review.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess current ARDMS or NBE certification in Echocardiography.
• Have previous experience performing echocardiographic studies.
• Demonstrate proficiency with echocardiography equipment and procedures.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Maintain knowledge of current cardiac imaging techniques and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
