You perform examinations and procedures proficiently. You guide fellow technicians to ensure procedures meet standards. You oversee teammates cleaning and sterilizing equipment. Your role helps maintain a safe healthcare environment.Essential Functions of the Role:Help with procedures not needing sedation, making sure patients are informed, answering questions about the process.Partner with nurses and doctors during sedation procedures. Use scopes, monitor vital signs, and assist with emergencies like CPR.Keep equipment clean and sanitized. Train and oversee others to ensure quality control during gastrointestinal procedures.Assist in the recovery room by monitoring and noting patient physiological data. Additionally, you'll prepare specimen slides for lab investigation.Make sure technicians follow standards. Give feedback and train new technicians.Partner with Clinical Nurses in documenting required data during patient admission and discharge in the GI Lab.Order supplies, get supervisor approval, and communicate with vendors for timely delivery.Monitor equipment, create quality reports.Manage maintenance schedules and installation.Key Success Factors:Familiarity with the norms and procedures involved in patient care.The ability to recognize and communicate changes in a patient's health to other team members and doctors.The capability to adhere to enforced safety measures, infection control strategies, and isolation routines consistently.The knack for delivering excellent customer service marked by understanding, patience, and certainty.Effective interpersonal abilities to establish positive interactions with patients and fellow team members.Belonging Statement: We believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported.Qualifications:You should have at least a high school diploma or a GED certification.You should bring with you at least (3) three years of relevant work experience.You need a Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate or willingness to get one within (30) thirty days.
