This individual in this position ensures seamless operation of day-to-day activities in the anatomy lab. The Anatomy Lab Manager will report directly to the chairperson of the Department of Biomedical and Anatomical Sciences. This position is eligible for a hybrid/remote work arrangement, with flexibility to work remotely and onsite in accordance with New York Tech’s remote work policy.Responsibilities Oversee all cleaning and maintenance needs in the laboratory space to ensure compliance with NYIT and ASU Laboratories. Maintain anatomy lab, including cleaning of laboratory space and equipment. Establish and supervise the Anatomical Gift Program. Meet with potential donors and families of donors for the Anatomical Gift Program. Maintain human anatomical specimens (cadavers). Create and maintain inventories of all lab supplies and ensure timely reordering. Maintain all cadaver records. Communicate routinely with campus biosafety officer to ensure lab compliance with all safety regulations. Coordinate and oversee community outreach activities involving the lab. Assist faculty with oversight of lab sessions. Perform formaldehyde safety training and monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance. Oversee and maintain student attendance records for anatomy courses.Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Biological Sciences or Mortuary Science.
