Job Roles and Responsibilities Lead engineering, preconstruction, and technical project management activities for distributed solar and energy storage projects Evaluate and optimize project designs for constructability, cost efficiency, and performance Review engineering deliverables including site plans, electrical diagrams, civil drawings, and equipment specifications Support project budgeting, cost estimation, and value engineering initiatives Manage permitting processes including building permits, stormwater permits, and land use approvals Coordinate and oversee third‑party engineering firms, consultants, and technical advisors Support interconnection strategy, utility coordination, and grid feasibility assessments Develop relationships with utilities, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and external stakeholders Review interconnection studies, utility requirements, hosting capacity data, and technical standards Support procurement planning and equipment selection for solar modules, inverters, transformers, and battery systems Manage preconstruction schedules, risk registers, project readiness, and technical documentation Support EPC selection, contractor coordination, and construction readiness activities Collaborate closely with development, finance, engineering, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle Mentor and lead internal teams and external technical resources Represent the organization during utility meetings, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination activities Qualifications and Certifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related technical field preferred 8‑12+ years of renewable energy project development, engineering management, or construction experience Strong experience supporting solar and energy storage projects through permitting, engineering, and preconstruction phases Working knowledge of interconnection processes, utility standards, and hosting capacity concepts Experience managing engineering consultants, permitting consultants, EPCs, and technical vendors Strong understanding of solar modules, battery systems, inverters, transformers, and renewable energy equipment markets Experience with project cost estimation, value engineering, and construction cost optimization preferred Strong technical project management and cross‑functional coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects across varying development stages and markets Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Familiarity with GIS platforms preferred Ability to travel for site visits, utility meetings, and stakeholder coordination as needed Benefits Health insurance Retirement savings plan Paid time off Professional development and training opportunities Career growth opportunities Collaborative team‑oriented work environment Inclusive and diverse workplace culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
