You will join the Power Retrofit Projects group , which delivers fully engineered control system solutions for power plants using Emerson's best in class Ovation™ Distributed Control System (DCS). The team supports the full project lifecycle-including engineering design, system integration, testing, and commissioning-providing a strong foundation for building technical depth, industry knowledge, and long term career growth. - Be part of a collaborative, inclusive team focused on solving complex engineering challenges
- Contribute to application design and engineering execution on active projects with guidance and mentorship
- Participate in cross functional and global teams supporting process improvement initiatives
- Build and develop technical capabilities through hands on project work and exposure to multiple engineering disciplines
- Support the application design and execution for thermal and conventional power projects
- Help ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project execution cycle
- Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and architect/engineering firms to help identify practical technical solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of related experience in an engineering environment
- Ability to travel up to 20% within North America
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future . This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
- Experience designing or programming controls for Distributed Controls Systems (DCS) and/or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platforms
- Exposure to automation, industrial controls, or adjacent engineering fields
- Familiarity with boiler control, burner management systems, or NFPA85 guidelines
