About the Role

Fuze HR Solutions Inc. is partnering with an innovative national security and cybersecurity organization to hire a Senior Vulnerability Researcher.

This is a highly technical position for an experienced security researcher who thrives on uncovering vulnerabilities in complex systems and developing advanced exploitation techniques. You'll work alongside elite researchers conducting cutting-edge vulnerability research across operating systems, firmware, embedded platforms, hypervisors, application stacks, and low-level system architectures supporting critical national security missions.

The ideal candidate is an independent researcher with deep reverse engineering expertise who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges, developing novel exploitation techniques, and advancing offensive cybersecurity capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead advanced vulnerability research efforts across operating systems, firmware, embedded platforms, hypervisors, kernels, and complex application stacks.

• Scope, design, and execute research initiatives from initial hypothesis through validated findings.

• Perform advanced reverse engineering, binary analysis, and exploit development across multiple hardware architectures.

• Identify vulnerabilities in modern software and hardware platforms while evaluating existing security mitigations.

• Analyze undocumented or partially documented system behavior to uncover exploitable weaknesses.

• Develop internal research tools, automation, and workflows to improve vulnerability discovery and exploit development.

• Collaborate with senior researchers to define technical strategy, review research, and solve complex engineering challenges.

• Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering teams, leadership, and government customers.

• Mentor junior researchers while contributing to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability research and exploit development.

• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with SAP eligibility.

• Demonstrated experience researching and exploiting one or more of the following:

  • Operating Systems

  • Kernels

  • Firmware

  • Hypervisors

  • Embedded Systems

  • Complex Application Stacks

• Advanced reverse engineering skills, including:

  • Static Analysis

  • Dynamic Analysis

  • In-memory Binary Analysis

• Experience working across multiple processor architectures, including:

  • x86/x64

  • ARM

  • PowerPC

• Ability to independently identify and investigate ambiguous or previously unexplored attack surfaces.

• Experience designing, developing, testing, and validating advanced exploitation techniques.

• Strong understanding of modern operating system protections and exploit mitigation technologies.

• Experience analyzing undocumented or partially documented systems.

• Experience developing or extending internal research tools, automation frameworks, or vulnerability research workflows.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical findings to both technical and executive audiences.

• Passion for mentoring teammates and helping elevate technical excellence across the research organization.
