Job Full Description We have an immediate opening for an experienced Fitter at Plant 2. This role is responsible for fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting structural metal components while ensuring all work meets required specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
Measure, cut, and fabricate structural metal components
Position, align, and fit parts according to detailed specifications
Verify conformance of workpieces using precision measuring tools
Utilize tools such as tape measures, squares, and levels for accurate alignment
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role
Proficiency in reading a tape measure and interpreting blueprints
Strong understanding of structural metal fabrication and fitting techniques
Ability to use measuring tools accurately (squares, levels, tape measures)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation
Starting pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Work Schedule
Monday - Thursday: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Starkville, MS
