Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) / PACU

Position Overview

The PACU Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. This role involves collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and other personnel, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
Demonstrate leadership in maintaining clinical competencies through continuous education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Call Requirements

Availability for call is required for 6-8 days per month.

Qualifications

Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including prior travel experience.

Work Schedule

This position typically follows a 5-day work week, including a 30-minute lunch break. End times may vary based on patient procedures.

Additional Information

Please note that all facilities operate as PWP (Payment When Paid) entities; vendors will not receive payment until the health system is compensated.
