Job Description Physical Therapist PRN/Registry Days Be a part of a world‑class academic healthcare system at Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Physical Therapist (PRN). In this role you will examine, evaluate, test, and work to alleviate mechanical, physiological, or developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or other health and movement‑related conditions; classify these disorders, determine a rehabilitation prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention and assess the ongoing effects of the interventions. Essential Job Functions Evaluates patients utilizing advanced/specialized tests and measurements to determine the physical therapy problem, level of function, and expected discharge environment. Promotes and utilizes appropriate patient care protocols relating to physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs. Establishes a treatment plan based on evaluation findings, patient/family, referring practitioner, and therapist goals. Performs advanced/specialized physical therapy techniques and procedures. Treats patients with complex problems (e.g., co‑morbidities and/or poor previous outcomes); consults on difficult cases for staff and referring practitioners. Documents findings, patient progress, procedures performed, and time required. Instructs patients/families in home programs. Demonstrates effective time management and achieves designated productivity standards. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s or Doctorate preferred. Licensed, or eligible, in the state of Illinois with notification of eligibility for examination. Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
