You will care for patients across multiple specialties. Every day brings a unique challenge, honing your skills and expanding your knowledge base. Provide patient and family education following urinary diversion surgeries to help them feel confident in caring for themselves at home. Witness the impact of your care firsthand, which plays a vital role in their recovery and well-being. This unit provides excellent experience with airway management, including new tracheostomies, for nurses who may want to work in critical care settings in the future. Tracheostomy and surgical experience are required. Experience in gynecology, urology, plastic, and colorectal nursing is required (at least 2 of these required). Telemetry testing will be required prior to starting. Travelers are required to float as needed. Locals will not be accepted. A telemetry exam must be passed before starting the assignment. Two attempts will be given to pass the exam. If the traveler fails the second attempt, additional credentials may be required. If not passed after three attempts, the assignment will be canceled. Candidates must possess the ability to identify lethal rhythms and demonstrate knowledge in heart block identification with specific passing scores. This role will require you to care for adults in a diverse patient population. Be prepared for a daily census that may include a variety of diagnoses and care needs.
