Clinical Informatics Data Architect

Salary: $102,000 - 154,000 per year Requirements:

  • We need a bachelors degree in a technical discipline.
  • We require at least 3 years of experience in clinical informatics, data integration, or health data architecture within healthcare or life sciences.
  • We expect strong familiarity with interoperability standards and frameworks such as HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCD-A, and NCPDP, along with data models including FHIR R4/R5 and OMOP.
  • We require proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with dbt and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Preferred: a masters degree in a technical field.
  • Preferred: excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Preferred: the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:
  • We architect FHIR-compliant data models and ensure instantiated resources follow the relevant implementation guides, profiles, and internal architectural standards.
  • We design and operationalize advanced data harmonization and enrichment approaches to bring together disparate data from EHRs, HIEs, and claims sources.
  • We build and implement scalable data models and integration solutions aligned with our organizational standards and industry best practices.
  • We establish robust validation frameworks and automated rules to support clinical accuracy, consistency, and longitudinal integrity across our data assets.
  • We create clear documentation that communicates data design requirements to engineering teams and stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
