Overview Position requirement for an Anesthesiologist at the well‑established St. David's Medical Center in lively Austin, TX. The center is part of St. David’s Health Care and provides comprehensive medical care, including a 426‑bed acute care hospital, a 64‑bed rehabilitation hospital, a 24‑hour emergency department, and an all‑inclusive Bariatric Surgery Center. Anesthesia services are delivered at St.David’s Medical Center, North Austin Medical Center, South Austin Hospital, and RoundRock Medical Center. Salary & Benefits Total Rewards Salary: $440K + ~$130K productivity and call pay (total ~$570k) Premium pay over 40 hours Generous paid time off (inquire to learn more) Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts 401(k) Paid parental leave Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities Responsibilities Case assignments: varies Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre‑anesthesia assessment Obtain and/or verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor the patient’s physiological condition Perform clinical intervention as needed Requirements Work an average of 40–50 hours per week M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX certification Completion of an approved Residency in Anesthesia Current physician license Sign‑On Incentive $50K bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment; LRP or TAP options available.
