Are you living your life's work?Schedule: Part-time/ 20 Hours Per WeekPosition SummaryCleans and sanitizes food production and service equipment and facilitiesMaintains an adequate supply of clean production and service wareTransports items and supports kitchen and tray line operations as neededHelps ensure a clean, safe, and efficient food service environmentWork Location: Lancaster General Hospital, 555 N Duke St, Lancaster, PAKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare sanitation equipment and organize work areas for efficiencyOperate dishwashing/sanitation equipment or manually clean items per proceduresEnsure all items are properly cleaned, sanitized, and driedMaintain sufficient levels of clean dishes, utensils, and service wareTransport cleaned items to designated production and service areasDisassemble and clean sanitation equipment regularlyClean food production equipment following established guidelinesMaintain cleanliness of all food production and sanitation areasFollow recycling procedures, including:Washing and sorting recyclable materials (cans, cardboard, glass, paper)Transporting recyclables to designated storage areasRemove and transport trash to appropriate disposal or holding areasMaintain trash carts and compactor areas in clean and sanitary conditionAdditional ResponsibilitiesAssist with patient tray assembly line as neededComplete required training, including diet-related training programsSupport meal assembly and service when assignedPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredWork ScheduleVariable shifts between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PMIncludes every other weekendIncludes every other holidaySkills & Work EnvironmentAbility to follow procedures and maintain sanitation standardsStrong attention to detail and consistency in repetitive tasksAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to shift between tasks as neededTeam-oriented with strong reliability and work ethicWe believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
