Manager In Training (MIT) Overview Manager In Training (MIT) is responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing all sales, accounting, service and collection activities at the single-store level; delegation of certain elements of each priority to trained employees; controlling in-store programs and plans to meet company objectives and assigned store quotas; and organizing and conducting a planned program of continuous training for all store employees. But is not a requirement. Requirements & Responsibilities Understand that opportunity rarely comes in their existing store or city. The MIT must agree to relocate when called upon. Failure to relocate may lead to removal from the program. Cross train the MIT in each department—Sales, Accounts, and Shop. Promote and push sales; ensure proficiency in policies, processes, and operations of each department. Train the MIT on managerial duties including: file completion, inventory management, protection claims tracking, payroll logging, Friday morning meetings, order placement, contacts for operations, required corporate forms (PAF, etc.), and understanding monthly P&Ls. Shadow sales and account specialists, home office staff, sales directors, account directors, and marketing/internet sales department. Learn to drive sales through outbound lead calls, online marketing, goal setting, store excitement creation, difficult account collection procedures, home office processes, and marketing pipelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
