Nephrology Physician Assistant – Full‐Time

Location: Lima, Ohio
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (Full‐Time, 40+ hours/week)
Salary Range: $81,733 - $152,344 annually (DOE)**

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Nephrology Physician Assistant to join our dynamic nephrology care team. This full‐time role provides comprehensive care across inpatient , outpatient , and dialysis settings. The ideal candidate is a clinically strong, patient‐centered provider who thrives in a collaborative environment and can work independently within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient nephrology rounding for acute and chronic kidney disease patients.
• Conduct outpatient dialysis center rounds , ensuring continuity and quality of care.
• Offer clinic/office support as future service needs evolve.
• Participate in one weekend per month of call/coverage.
• Assist with limited holiday call , as assigned.
• Travel to regional outreach locations approximately one week per month.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, dialysis teams, and interdisciplinary care partners.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation per organizational standards.

Schedule & Work Expectations:

• Full‐time: Minimum 40 hours/week
• Primarily Monday–Friday , 8‐hour daytime shifts
• Occasional weekend, holiday, and travel requirements
• Call: Limited
• Weekends: 1 weekend/month
• Travel: Regional outreach ~1 week/month

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed (or license‐eligible) Physician Assistant in the state of Ohio
• Experience or strong interest in:
• • Nephrology
  • Hospital medicine
  • Internal medicine
  • Dialysis‐based patient care
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with nephrology physicians and care teams
• Flexibility for weekend coverage, limited call, and regional travel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in:
• • Nephrology
  • Dialysis management
  • Inpatient rounding
  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD) or transplant patient populations
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic interpretation skills
• Experience managing medically complex patients longitudinally
