Registered Veterinary Ultrasonographer

BluePearl Pet Hospital in North Carolina is looking to add an exceptional Registered Veterinary Ultrasonographer to our highly collaborative team. We are a group of multi-specialty and emergency hospitals with locations in Cary, Raleigh and Durham. Qualified RVTs eligible for a SIGN-ON BONUS Pay: $30 - $43 / hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through leveling system. Responsibilities Perform ultrasound image capture. Perform cystocentesis and collect fine needle aspirates for cytology. Safely restrain patients for procedures. Place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins. Perform phlebotomy. Proficiently perform digital radiographs. Administer and monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated. Perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures. Mentor and train other co-workers. Show patience and empathy to address client concerns. Qualifications Must be a RVT or graduated from an AVMA accredited vet tech school. A.S. Degree required; B.S. preferred. Veterinary Ultrasound certificate program or certificate in diagnostic medical sonography preferred (RVMS) or Certificate program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or accredited radiology program or equivalent. Certification by American Registry of Radiological Technologists or equivalent.
