The Connecticut Orthopedic Institute's Physician Assistant team is a growing department that covers inpatient joint reconstruction, spine, podiatry and acute fracture care. Physician Assistant (PA) Description First and/or Second Assist in the Operating Room. Provides pre-operative and post-operative care to patients. Documents patient encounters, including but not limited to: admissions, brief operative, progress, event, procedure and discharge notes. Enters, reviews and updates orders. Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and appropriate patient disposition. Schedule: Per Diem - Mostly weekend and night coverage with some weekday coverage The Connecticut Orthopedic Institute at St. Vincent's Medical Center is staffed by some of the top orthopedic specialists in the region through a partnership with Connecticut Orthopedics, Orthopedic Specialty Group, Ortho Connecticut Coastal Orthopedic, and Valley Orthopedic Specialists. For you, that means quicker recovery and restored function of your knee, hip, or spine Qualifications Board certified (NCCPA). Current or eligible CT PA license.
