The position will act as an ambassador on behalf of the company with customers, clients, and vendors in public./ppSkills and/or Qualifications (not limited to):/pulliKnowledge of anatomy and physiology./liliKnowledge of the current trends and techniques of x-ray technology./liliAbility to learn to conduct quality control studies; learn to use computerized radiologic equipment; learn to operate a computer for recordkeeping purposes./liliAbility to establish effective working relationships with patients and staff./liliStrong customer service, verbal and written communication skills./liliAbility to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions./liliKnowledgeable of HIPAA guidelines and regulations./li/ulpEducation and/or Experience:/pulliMust be 18 years of age or older./liliRequired High School diploma or GED./liliCertified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required./liliMust obtain and maintain professional certification./liliMandatory reporting in both children and adult./liliBasic Life Support/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification./li/ulpEssential Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):/pulliUsing proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable equipment/liliPositions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures/liliKnowledge of physician protocols for specific studies/liliComplete ABN billing forms for pre-ancillary services to ensure reimbursement/liliComplete studies for pre-screening safety measures for ancillary services/liliResearch and obtain external images for upcoming surgical procedures/liliProcess imaging requests for patient referrals to external facilities/liliMaintains computerized records, files, and/or reports/liliParticipates in quality control and quality assurance studies/liliMaintain compliance by submission of radiation badges to Landauer Dosimeter Company for monthly radiation read/liliPerforms daily quality checks on the Xray machine to guarantee proper operation and safety/liliReports issues/malfunctions to Clinical Supervisor and contacts servicing company for assistance/liliYearly shield checks for safety of staff and patients.
