Want to make a difference for communities in the heart of Texas and across the state?We’ve got an opportunity for you here in our College Station Water Design Center (WDC).As part of Garver’s growing College Station WDC, you’ll lead a project team producing designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, and other ancillary infrastructure associated with water and wastewater projects. You’ll be engaged in design calculations, hydraulic modeling, facility layouts, equipment selections, managing and coordinating support discipline activities, coordinating with equipment vendors and regulatory agencies, and performing quality reviews. You’ll travel occasionally when a project requires a site assessment as well as support during construction.What you’ll do:Design water and wastewater treatment processesEvaluate, select, and implement water and wastewater equipmentDesign pump stations and pump selectionDesign chemical storage and feed systemsDesign blower systems and blower sizingProduce process flow diagramsProduce piping and instrumentation diagramsPrepare specification and contract documentsSupport construction projectsOversee the development of construction drawings and 3D modelsAssist the Process Mechanical Group Leader in managing and mentoring teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring delivery of quality work products adhering to Garver standardsWhat you’ll bring:Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited program10 or more years of direct experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and booster pump stationsProfessional Engineer Licensure (PE)Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as Visual HydraulicsExperience working with a diverse disciplinary team, including civil, structural, building mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control disciplinesBonus points if you bring these, too:Master’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or related engineering disciplineCertification as a Pump Systems Assessment ProfessionalExperience using Bluebeam softwareA record of active participation in local professional organizationsOur WDC offers you professional growth opportunitySpecializing in large, high-volume, custom treatment plant projects with advanced technologies, the Garver WDC is a knowledge-based hub that excels in producing highly technical, multidiscipline water and wastewater designs.
