Join Our Team as a K-8 Special Education Teacher!

Are you a passionate educator dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children with special needs? St. Francis Indian School, also known as Sicangu Oyate Ho Inc., in St. Francis, SD, is seeking a dynamic K-8 Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher at our school, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with various learning challenges
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to student development
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid state teaching license in Special Education
  • Experience working with K-8 students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for serving the needs of students with disabilities
