Clinical Nurse

Position Overview Department/Unit: SCC Operating Room. Work Shift: Day (United States of America). Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00. The Clinical Nurse contributes to a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues by displaying kindness and active listening. Responsibilities Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions. Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care rendered. Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer prescription medications as ordered. Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients. Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain nursing professional standards. Qualifications Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree). Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license. Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med‑Surg or Progressive Care OR Experience. Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time‑management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem‑solving tools and ability to apply them in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
