Lab Assistant

Labcorp is hiring a Lab Assistant for its Burlington, North Carolina laboratory. The role involves specimen processing, data entry, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks in a clinical laboratory setting. Sunday-Thursday schedule, 10am-7pm.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform specimen and patient data entry and scanning
• Monitor lab equipment functionality and conduct routine maintenance
• Maintain clean and safe work environment, replenish supplies
• Document records and complete administrative tasks per Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Physical capacity to meet job demands and shift flexibility
