Role Description This full-time, on-site Specialty Infusion Pharmacist role is based in Oklahoma City, OK. The Specialty Infusion Pharmacist will verify and process infusion prescriptions, review patient profiles, and ensure therapies are clinically appropriate, safe, and compliant with all regulations. Daily responsibilities include compounding or overseeing the compounding of sterile products, managing medication preparation and labeling, and verifying doses prior to dispensing. The pharmacist will provide counseling and education to patients and caregivers on infusion therapies, administration techniques, and potential side effects, as well as collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and other care team members to optimize treatment plans. The role also includes monitoring therapy outcomes, maintaining accurate documentation, participating in quality assurance activities, and supporting inventory management and medication storage standards. Qualifications Strong clinical pharmacy skills in sterile compounding, specialty and infusion therapies, dosing verification, and medication safety. Proficiency in patient counseling, caregiver education, and clear communication with prescribers and interdisciplinary care teams. Ability to manage workflow, prioritize multiple infusion orders, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, USP standards for sterile compounding, and best practices in infusion pharmacy. Current PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy and active, unrestricted pharmacist license in Oklahoma (or eligibility for licensure). Previous experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, hospital IV room, or oncology/critical care is preferred. Comfort using pharmacy management systems, electronic health records, and standard office and compounding technology.
