Role Description The Horticulture Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR, responsible for the ongoing care and maintenance of interior plantscapes at client locations. Day-to-day tasks include watering, pruning, fertilizing, cleaning, and rotating plants, as well as monitoring plant health and identifying issues such as pests, diseases, or environmental stress. The technician will implement integrated pest management practices, adjust care routines based on light and environmental conditions, and recommend plant replacements or enhancements as needed. This role involves regular travel to client sites, maintaining a professional and friendly presence, and communicating observations and service needs to the team and clients. The Horticulture Technician will also assist with installation of new interiorscapes, including plant selection, placement, and container preparation in alignment with sustainable and design-focused standards. Qualifications Practical horticulture skills, including plant care, identification, and understanding of light, water, and soil requirements. Experience or training in sustainable practices such as integrated pest management (IPM) and use of organic, pesticide-free products. Ability to perform physical tasks safely, including lifting containers, climbing ladders, and working on feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management when servicing multiple client locations. Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner. Reliability in on-site work, with dependable transportation to client sites in the Portland, OR area. Interest or experience in interior design or landscape design, with an eye for aesthetics and building integration. High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in horticulture, botany, or related fields is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
