Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and develop individualized care plans
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provide health education to patients and families
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to various levels of nursing staff, utilizing critical thinking and independent professional judgment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Minimum two years of recent Telemetry or acute care nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor - Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor - Required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification - Required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
