Radiology - CT Tech Profession: Radiology Specialty: CT and X-ray Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Tuesday - Friday Hours per Shift: 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT License: Associate degree in radiologic technology Certifications: BLS certification; ARRT certification in RD and CT Must-Have: Must have BLS certification through the American Heart Association Must have ARRT certification in Radiography (RD) and Computed Tomography (CT) Must be able to float between X-ray and CT departments Description:Reviews patient history and physician's orders.Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.Prepares equipment and supplies.Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. #J-18808-Ljbffr
