Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Overview LOCALS AT SAME RATE Perm candidates of any OTHER providence facility ( NON SWEDISH ) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All Swedish facilities honor active compact license. DO NOT SUBMIT CANDIDATE IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A MIN OF 3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE - NO EXCEPTIONS - MUST HAVE CURRENT SUPERVISORY REFERENCES - MUST HAVE PROOF OF REQUIRED CERTS WITH SUBMISSION. MUST PASS CLINICAL REVIEW NO EXCEPTIONS-DO NOT SUBMIT WITHOUT PROOF OF CURRENT NURSYS 3-5 years exp REQUIRED in high acuity & high pace environment Highly prefer RN's with 5 years of high risk experience but will consider candidates with 3 years or more experience as long as they have high risk exp 1ST Timers Accepted pre approved time off will be case by case basis - work every other weekend and Holidays as needed. Responsibilities FLOAT REQUIRED: Post partum / Antepartum - may float to sister facilities that do Mother/Baby. Functions in the role of Baby Nurse during the delivery and continues care of the newborn until transfer to post partum. Hard stop requirements: do not screen; provide NB care including eyes, thighs, assessment, and injections (e.g., Vitamin K); handle CIRCULATE responsibilities. Care for NB eyes, thighs, and Vit K injections; perform newborn assessments. Must provide care in high risk/ high acuity environments including postpartum/antepartum, and high risk L&D settings. Support midwifery clients, private OBs, adult recovery services, and community care clinics as part of the team. Adhere to AWHONN guidelines; staffing to follow these guidelines. Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years of high acuity and high pace environment required; 5+ years highly preferred if accompanied by high risk experience. Current supervisory references and proof of required certifications with submission. Must have current Nursys verification. Must pass clinical review. Ability to circulate and provide neonatal care including eyes, Vit K injections, and newborn assessments. Schedule & Unit Details Avg Daily Census: 15/day; 500-600 deliveries/month. Rooms: 31; Beds: 31. Schedule posted every 6 weeks and adjusted to meet unit needs. Certifications Required: BLS, NRP Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate #J-18808-Ljbffr
