DESCRIPTION:

A premier hospitality group is seeking an exceptional, accomplished Bar Manager to develop and lead an exciting new, high-end cocktail concept in Los Angeles, set to open in February 2027. Working directly with senior leadership and key Food & Beverage stakeholders, this leader will play an integral role in shaping the concept, beverage program, product selection, service standards, and overall guest experience. This position offers meaningful creative and operational autonomy, allowing a confident leader the freedom to develop a thoughtful, ambitious cocktail program inspired by seasonal ingredients, innovative techniques, and the property's onsite farm. We are seeking a self-directed, hands-on operator who exercises sound independent judgment, takes genuine ownership, and thrives in an environment that operates with an ethos of discretion and hospitality excellence.

Core Responsibilities —

• Collaborates with senior leadership throughout the creative development and opening of the new cocktail destination.
• Leads the development of an ambitious cocktail program, leveraging seasonal ingredients, innovative techniques, and an onsite farm.
• Curates an exceptional spirits collection with a focus on luxury, rare, and highly allocated expressions.
• Recruits, trains, inspires, and mentors a team of exceptional hospitality professionals.
• Oversees daily operations, financial performance, inventory, and beverage cost management.
• Establishes and maintains uncompromising standards of service, execution, and attention to detail across the venue.
• Translates deep spirits knowledge into compelling guest experiences and sales through engaging, authentic storytelling.

Operational Involvement —

The Bar Manager anchors daily service and operational execution by:

• Moving fluidly during service between preparing cocktails behind the bar, engaging with guests, supporting the service team, and supervising the floor.
• Maintaining a visible, energetic presence throughout service to uphold hospitality standards and guest relations.
• Managing bar prep, daily line checks, spirits procurement, and cellar organization.
• Executing a regular late-night service schedule from Tuesday through Friday, approximately 6:00 PM to 2:00–3:00 AM.
• Maintaining a culture of discretion, focusing fulfillment on guest loyalty and team excellence rather than public or media recognition.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Substantial experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or highly regarded cocktail bars where service and drink quality are held to equal standards.
• Proven track record of craft cocktail development, spirits curation, and luxury allocated bottling knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, make thoughtful decisions, and take full ownership of a beverage program.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring, training, and building high-performing teams.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong commercial awareness and operational discipline.
• Ability to work a consistent late-night schedule (Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 PM to 2:00–3:00 AM).
