Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Imaging Nuclear Med - PRN

Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist may work other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed. The role includes troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in QA, and resolving issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Ongoing education, safety and technical advances within licensure scope are expected. The technologist will adhere to imaging competencies as outlined by management and observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures. Maintains radiation safety protocol while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals. Completes daily logs and periodic tests as required by the license. Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS; follows PACS downtime procedures and escalates issues. Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; follows up as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Education/Skills Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required Experience 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred Basic computer experience required Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT or NMTCB required State Licensure required Texas: MRT by TMB Louisiana: LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTBE New Mexico: NMT by MIRTP NMED BLS required Work Schedule & Type Work Schedule: PRN Work Type: Per Diem As Needed EEO EEO is the law.
