About the Job
Lab Tech needs 5+ years experience
Lab Tech requires:
- Associate's Degree Required
- Experience shipping and receiving lab samples and consumables
- DOT, RCRA, IATA certifications preferred
- Experience aliquoting preferred
- Understanding of laboratory safety protocols and requirements
- Data entry and computer skills
- Must be detail oriented and have organizational skills
- FDNY C-14 Certificate of Fitness preferred.
- Lift at least 50 pounds and will also require PPE
- Hep B vaccine or tither is required.
Lab Tech duties:
- Receive, unload, unpack, and inspect all laboratory deliveries.
- Manage lab inventory logistics in the laboratory/stockrooms as they arrive according to departments.
- Report damages or shortages to supervisors.
- Match shipments to their associated requestor and enter receiving data in purchase request database.
- Monitor laboratory inventory levels daily.
- Maintain HSE compliance of all receiving areas.
- Assist with outgoing lab shipments
- Aliquoting, glass washing, and autoclaving
