Student Monitor

Position Type: Support Staff/ Student Monitor 2026-2027 School Year Student Monitor $14.00/hour (sick time, personal days & paid holidays) 5 days per week/Monday through Friday Hours - 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Representative Duties: Exercise student supervision in areas as assigned by the principal/assistant principal. Carry out other tasks as the principal/assistant principalmay assign, consistent with the role of Student Monitor. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Ability to learn job guidelines and to apply them on a daily basis; knowledge of school rules and basic concepts/techniques of child discipline. Ability to get along with other noon-aides, parents and teachers. Knowledge of basic structure of public education. Characteristics/Traits Concern for children's health, safety and learning. Patience in dealing with children's problems and behavior. Willingness to take such training programs as the district may provide. Punctuality, dependability, eligibility in work habits. Good health and moral character. Concern for education. Discretion and good judgment. Toleration for inclement weather. Education /Experience/Training High school diploma or equivalent required. The Ohio Department of Education requires a one-year student monitor permit($25.00 online fee). (Application completed during the hiring process.) Experience with supervision of children in public or private sector desirable. Training in first aid and CPR desirable but not required.
