This is a local, physical role for someone who can drive a Non-CDL company vehicle, build accurate loads, and treat contractors and homeowners well.You will report to the General Manager. When you are not on a delivery, you will help in the yard with loading / unloading freight, forklift work, and provide excellent customer service.About R.P. Best Value.What You Will DoDeliveriesDeliver lumber and building materials to homes and jobsites in a non-CDL company vehicleUse efficient, legal routes and meet delivery schedulesUnload product at the jobsite while following all safety protocolsKeep assigned vehicles clean and complete routine safety checksRepresent the company with professional customer service on every stopYard, Loading, and InventoryGreet customers and contractors in the yardLoad customer vehicles and company trucks after checking the ticket against the productUnload incoming freight without damaging product or carrier equipmentOperate a forklift to stock and merchandise the yard and warehouseBuild accurate loads and materials before deliveryHelp keep assigned yard areas stocked, faced, priced, and organizedAnswer basic questions about product, orders, pricing, and delivery timingPerform other showroom and yard duties assigned by the General ManagerWhat You Need To HaveHigh school diploma or GEDValid Indiana driver's license with a For-Hire Endorsement and a current medical certificateAcceptable driving record for the prior 60 monthsAbility to communicate clearly with customers, teammates, and managersAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysAbility to work indoors and outdoors in changing or extreme weatherAbility to perform the essential physical functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and frequently lifting or moving 50 to 100 poundsNice To HaveAbout one year of related yard, delivery, or building-materials experienceKnowledge of lumber and construction productsForklift experience (training is available)Pay And BenefitsPay range: $15.00–$20.00 per hourStarting pay is based on job-related factors permitted by law, including relevant experience, education, skills, licenses, certifications, market conditions, and work location.Pay Transparency: This compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location or locations.
