Forklift Operator

We are actively hiring for a Forklift Operato r for our plant in Van Nuys, CA

Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Pay Range: $19-21/hr. Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors, including the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

The Company will provide certification training for the forklift operator role

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check off forklift inspection to ensure it is in good running condition.
• Check paper supply for all press machines, making sure they have enough supplies on the floor.
• Empty out full blue bins next to the cutting machines as well as the box bailer.
• Maintain safe and clean area around the storing racks and entire warehouse, ensuring there aren't empty pallets.
• Receive and unload material from the delivery truck and ensure packing slip matches the materials being delivered.
• Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.

Qualification

• 2-3 years' experience in a Shipping or Receiving position
• Good organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
• Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50lbs (50% of time)
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Walking and moving around the work area (50% of time)
