Secure Components LLC, an AS9120-certified aerospace and defense electronic component distributor located in Norristown, PA, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage our day-to-day quality operations.

This is a hands-on position. We are looking for someone who can manage our Quality Management System while also being actively involved in receiving inspection, documentation review, nonconforming material, customer and supplier quality issues, shipping quality, audits, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.

The Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that incoming and outgoing materials meet customer, contractual, regulatory, and Secure Components quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the company's AS9120 Quality Management System and quality procedures.
• Manage internal and external audits, corrective actions, findings, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Oversee receiving and incoming inspection, including part identification, quantities, condition, packaging, traceability, certifications, and contractual requirements.
• Review Certificates of Conformance, manufacturer traceability, test reports and other quality documentation.
• Identify, document, segregate, and manage nonconforming material and NCRs.
• Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Ensure compliance with customer purchase orders, sales orders, drawings, specifications, and quality clauses.
• Oversee final quality review prior to shipment, including documentation, labeling, packaging, traceability, and customer-specific requirements.
• Review and approve quality documentation for drop shipments.
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality records within company systems.
• Maintain controlled quality documentation and ensure current revisions of applicable specifications and standards are being used.
• Support counterfeit-parts avoidance, product authenticity, traceability, and supply-chain risk-management requirements.
• Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and company leadership to resolve quality issues without unnecessarily delaying customer orders.
• Communicate directly with aerospace, defense, and government customers and suppliers regarding quality matters.
• Train employees on applicable quality procedures and requirements.
• Monitor quality performance and recommend improvements to company processes.

Qualifications

• Prior quality experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, manufacturing, distribution, or another highly regulated industry.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and/or AS9120 strongly preferred.
• Experience with receiving inspection, traceability, Certificates of Conformance, nonconforming material, corrective actions, and audit preparation.
• Familiarity with AS6081, counterfeit electronic component avoidance, IDEA-STD-1010, SAE/JEDEC standards, or electronic component inspection is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret customer quality requirements, specifications, drawings, purchase orders, and contractual requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with customers, suppliers, auditors, and senior management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive quality and shipping issues.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Must be able to work on-site in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with aerospace and defense OEMs, government customers, DLA requirements, electronic component distribution, independent distribution, or an AS9120/AS6081-certified organization is particularly valuable.
