About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable days (Monday - Friday) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1 year License: Washington State license required at time of submission Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - 1 year of scrubbing experience - ENT experience (including procedures like FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, and soft tissue management) - Davinci XI experience in GYN, URO, or General Description: MUST HAVE Washington State license at time of application. No pending licenses will be accepted. Clinical profile review and interview will be conducted by management. Traveler needs to bring their own earphones for online training during the first week of orientation. Unit has 22 surgical suites with capability to expand to 26 across three floors. Average number of cases per day is between 50-65. Common cases handled include GYN, URO, Vascular, Plastic, Ortho (total hips and knees), Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General (Breast, HPB, Bariatric), Sports Medicine (Hand and Podiatry), and Kidney transplants. All experience levels welcome; first-time travelers accepted. There is a requirement for weekend call lasting 24 hours, which will be rotated among staff. Call response time is 30 minutes; call room is available. Teal scrubs will be provided. Physicians and the team are supportive and willing to teach. Travelers often extend assignments when possible.
