About the Position

Registered Nurse – NICU (Level 2)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (8 weeks, with possible extension) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 2 NICU setting, primarily caring for infants 33 weeks gestational age and above
• Float as needed to the Postpartum unit to provide newborn (baby) care
• Assist with baby catch in the operating room during C-section cases
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC charting — required
• Ability to float to Postpartum/Women's Health as needed
• Ability to assist with newborn care in the OR during C-section deliveries
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are accepted)
• Background in Women's Health or Mother-Baby nursing in addition to NICU experience
