About the Position

Registered Nurse – PACU (Pediatric)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Sunday through Thursday | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in a PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must pass a Telemetry exam (pediatric and adult) prior to start; passing score of 80% or higher with 100% identification of lethal rhythms required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient experience within the last 3 years in the submitted specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity or Level I Pediatric Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
