Contract | Days | Onsite | Shifts: 0630–1900 and 1830–0700 | Weekend and holiday availability required as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Medical Surgical unit serving medical, surgical, and orthopedic patient populations
• Manage a patient assignment of 1:5–6, with potential for 1:6 ratios at least once per week
• Administer and monitor titratable Heparin drips as indicated; collaborate with 24-hour on-floor Respiratory Therapy staff
• Monitor patients via telemetry, coordinating with a centralized telemetry station
• Work collaboratively with charge nurses and patient care technicians (1:10–12 ratio) to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes
• Float to PCU or Burn unit as needed per staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Must successfully pass an open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation week
• Compliance with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical, orthopedic, or similar acute care setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and Heparin drip management
• Experience floating to PCU or Burn units
