Role Description This full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role is located in Springfield, OH. The Diesel Mechanic will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel trucks and related equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance services, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and completing repair orders accurately. The role also involves collaborating with team members, communicating clearly with customers and supervisors about repair needs and timelines, and following all safety and company standards. The Diesel Mechanic is expected to maintain a clean and organized work area and use tools and equipment responsibly. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable, safe operation of customer and company vehicles. Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Heavy Equipment service to diagnose, repair, and maintain shop tools and large commercial equipment. Candidates should possess skills in Diesel Mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild diesel engines, drivetrains, and related systems. Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, manufacturer-specific training) and prior experience as a diesel technician or mechanic are beneficial. Ability to use diagnostic tools, read technical manuals, and follow safety procedures; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in diesel technology or automotive repair is a plus.
