Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN
Schedule
On-call: 1–2 nights per week; Weekend coverage: 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks.
Assignment Details
Daily census: 12 patients; Orientation: 24 hours.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the respective state.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
- 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience.
- Two supervisory references from within the past year required at time of submission.
Responsibilities
- Provide recovery and intra-procedural support for cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, structural, and EP procedures.
- Monitor patients during recovery from diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapy and social services.
- Assist in the preparation and management of patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding care and procedures.
Compliance / Notes
Flu vaccine required during flu season. Background/license checks will be conducted, and issues must be resolved prior to start.
