Location: Covington, GA 30014 Pay Rate: $17.50/hr Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:30 PM Education: High school diploma/GED preferred, Experience: 2+ years of warehouse or related experience Requirements: Valid Drivers License (DT) and forklift experience Duration: 12 + Months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift/Material Handler to safely move, load, unload, and organize materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating multiple types of material-handling equipment and working with RF scanners and inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, electric pallet jacks, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and other material-handling equipment.
• Safely move and stage materials throughout the warehouse or facility.
• Perform shipping, receiving, picking, and inventory-related activities.
• Use RF scanners to accurately track and manage inventory.
• Maintain accurate records and follow established SOPs and safety procedures.
• Perform basic math, computer, and inventory-related tasks.
• Follow PPE, hazard communication, FIFO, and workplace safety requirements.
• Safely lift and move materials weigh 50+ lbs.
• Work effectively in a metric-driven environment and communicate with team leads and supervisors.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of warehouse/material-handling experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks.
• Experience with PIT equipment and RF scanners.
• Shipping, receiving, inventory management, and record-keeping experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English and perform basic math calculations.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with FIFO, PPE, hazard communication, and warehouse safety procedures.
• Experience operating forklifts with various attachments, including clamp trucks, is a plus.
• Cold-storage warehouse and Hazmat experience is a plus.

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, push/pull, grasp, and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to lift and move over 50 lbs.
• Work may involve moving mechanical equipment, vibration, outdoor/extreme temperatures, fumes, and airborne particles.
