K- 12 Assistant Food Service Manager

We are adding an energetic, knowledgeable Assistant Food Service Director to work in a K-12 school lunch program. You will be responsible for assisting with client and community relationships, budgets, and P&L. Your culinary knowledge to oversee kitchen production will be impressive, as well as your meal production skills. As our dedicated A Player, you must be highly motivated, community/service minded, and detailed oriented with strong analytical skills. With your integrity and strong work ethic, you will serve as a positive role model. As our Assistant Food Service Director, you will work with the Food Service Director to be engaged in daily "hands‑on" management and training of the kitchen staff. Due to your exemplary customer service skills, you will enjoy developing and growing client and customer relationships. Responsibilities Develop menus to fit the needs of the community Implement and maintain HACCP standards Provide outstanding catering events Communicate clearly, professionally and effectively Deliver budgeted financial results Create a positive team environment Manage ordering and inventory Lead daily production Oversee cash managementEngage in regular client interaction Location 1501 Williams Ave, Montevideo, Minnesota 56265, United States Qualifications and Skills You must have 3 years of previous experience in a similar position with an associate degree in hospitality/dietetics. In our fast paced environment, you will need to possess strong multi-tasking, kitchen/office organizational skills, as well as effective communication (oral and written) skills.
