In this exciting role, you will craft and implement long-term sourcing strategies for high-capacity and high-performance memory components. Collaborate with silicon vendors and internal engineering teams to ensure successful New Product Introductions (NPI) and maintain cost competitiveness, while aligning technologies across Meta's expansive hyperscale infrastructure. You will navigate the dynamic landscape of semiconductor technology roadmaps and large-scale sourcing strategies, shaping the future of our memory solutions. Key Responsibilities Define and co-own a multi-year sourcing strategy for DRAM and NAND/SSD components, including capacity planning, supplier management, and technology transitions. Deepen your technical expertise in DRAM and NAND technology roadmaps (e.g., DDR5, HBM, QLC/TLC NAND, NVMe SSD) to assess supplier offerings and ensure alignment with infrastructure engineering needs. Collaborate with hardware engineering, capacity planning, and data center operations teams to convert memory requirements into effective sourcing plans. Perform total cost of ownership analysis and should-cost modeling to inform negotiation tactics and investment choices. Lead the qualification process for DRAM and SSD components, working closely with quality and design engineering teams. Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics on technology alignment, driving continuous improvement through structured business reviews. Influence memory technology selection using insights from supplier roadmaps, market intelligence, and internal engineering feedback, presenting actionable recommendations to leadership. Minimum Qualifications 12+ years of experience in technical sourcing, supply chain management, or commodity management specifically for semiconductor or memory components (DRAM, NAND, SSD). Understanding of DRAM and NAND technology roadmaps, with the ability to assess technical trade-offs across different generations and form factors of memory. Experience in developing sourcing strategies and total cost of ownership models for memory or semiconductor commodities in a hyperscale or large enterprise setting. Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration with hardware engineering, quality, and legal teams to align sourcing decisions with technical and business objectives. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) or emerging memory technologies and their supply chain implications. Experience sourcing memory components for data center or cloud infrastructure applications, including server DRAM and enterprise NVMe SSD. A proven track record of influencing executive-level decisions through data-driven market analysis and supplier insights. Experience in building and refining commodity management programs or sourcing centers of excellence within a hardware or infrastructure organization. Public Compensation $208,000/year to $289,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
