Women’s Health Hospitalist Model is a collaborative effort between the affiliated hospitals, the community healthcare providers, and the team of Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists.

• 7am-7pm for day and 7pm to 7am for evening

• Continued education & training with our team of Maternal-Fetal Medicine providers

• Growing program
\n
• High-Risk Pregnancy Center MFM’s are Perinatal Directors at both hospitals
\n

Hospital #1:

\n

\n
• Average deliveries - Approximately 280/month, The Hospitalists average 3/shift
\n
\n
• Triage is very busy though about 500/month with a minimum of 5 deliveries per shift and its not unusual to have 10 deliveries /shift
\n
\n
• OBED – Busy with 500 visits/month (minimum 5/shift, not common to see >10/shift)
\n
• GYN surgeries
\n
\n
• $1200 per 24 hours. Minimum two shifts/month
\n
• Not during hospitalist shift
\n
• May opt into GYN call coverage when not working shifts
\n
• Possible additional GYN call coverage for affiliate OB practices (at $1200 per shift)
\n
\n
• Additional in-house OBGYN from UNLV who provides backup support 24/7 in case of emergency
\n

Hospital #2

\n

\n
• Average deliveries - Approximately 175/month -Hera Hospitalist might be ~1-2 deliveries /shift on average with an occasional 5/deliveries per shift (vaginal or primary surgeon c/s)
\n
\n
• Most patients have private physicians
\n
• Including “precipitous” deliveries that they perform but require follow-up as Private comes in to take over. 
\n
• Assist on all private physician c/s and there can be as many as 5 in a shift but other shifts none
\n
\n
• OBED – No, see all triage patients, average 2-8/shift
\n
• GYN surgeries
\n
\n
• $1200 per 24 hours. Minimum two shifts/month
\n
• Not during Hospitalist shift, consult only
\n

Day Coverage :

$204,000/annually = $1700/shift

\n

Night Coverage :

\n

$216,000 annually = $1800/shift

Differential: $100/shift
\n Plus bonuses as below
\n GYN call coverage pays additional $1200 per 24-hour shift
\n 25K signing bonus

\n

25K in bonus incentives (quality and catch bonuses) and PTO

\n
