Design Coordinator (Designer IV)

Title Design Coordinator (Designer IV) Location Houston, TX 77056 - Hybrid (Mon-Thurs onsite in Houston, Friday remote) Duration 6 Months Contract role with possibility of extension Job Description (no details) Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Power Apps. Basic knowledge of design software like AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Visio is advantageous. Familiarity with design processes, industry guidelines, and workflows. Soft Skills Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with diverse teams and clients. Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in tracking project components and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Organizational Abilities: Exceptional ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus and quality. Problem-Solving: Resourceful and motivated to solve problems independently, with a strong aptitude for identifying potential issues and crafting proactive solutions. Team Leadership: Ability to motivate team members and foster a collaborative environment. Self-Starter: Proactively takes initiatives and ownership of projects and are able to identify opportunities and act on them independently. Education and Experience Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, design, or a related field is preferred. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a project coordination role, preferably in a design and drafting or creative services environment. Certifications: Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is a plus but not mandatory. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely completion of projects within the agreed deadlines. Adherence to budget and resource allocation plans. Positive client feedback and satisfaction rates. Reduction in project delays or bottlenecks due to effective problem-solving.
