Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering relevant diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, either collaboratively with physicians or independently (based on your credentialing)
• Providing education to patients and their families on wellness, disease prevention, and health management
• Prescribing medications and therapies in line with your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care strategies
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to assure comprehensive and holistic care
• Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Current NP license in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
