Marketing Manager - California Region

DescriptionThe Marketing Manager manages the preparation and execution of Burns & McDonnell's California marketing efforts in relation to internal and external communications, events, business plan, business development plans and proposals. Position will start with four direct reports and it is expected to grow the team. This position will provide strategic direction to their assigned business unit(s) by managing the marketing plan for each client/project.Manages the preparation of the business plans for each market sector.Manages the client research and business analysis process.Manages ongoing strategic planning for business unit in effort to keep marketing efforts focused.Presents at marketing support staff meetings.Acts as liaison for internal communication of firm-wide marketing news and developments.Manages a reporting system for marketing costs; reviews marketing performance summaries.Manages proposal preparation; helps decide go/no-go decisions and strategies.Manages maintenance of local contacts and leads database.Prepares interview teams; contributes marketing expertise in project kick-off meetings.Develops marketing specific materials.Manages the overall quality of marketing procedures, people and product to optimize process efficiencies.Attends professional organizations and conferences; builds professional network.Develop and implement promotional initiatives.Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff.Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff.Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department.Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence.Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standards QualificationsBachelor Degree in marketing or a related field and 8 years either as an A/E professional, in marketing or sales with a professional services firm RequiredSuperior technical writing abilities.Excellent written & verbal communication skills.Job Field: MarketingJob Type: ExperiencedSchedule: Full-timeTravel: Yes, 25 % of the Time
