Physician Assistant

Job Description A per-diem Physician Assistant (PA) is needed to join the nationally recognized Cardiac Surgery Team at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. The PA will serve as first assist in the operating room and provide expert care to post‑operative cardiac surgery patients. Responsibilities Serve as first assist in the operating room during cardiac surgery procedures Provide expert care to post‑operative cardiac surgery patients Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Open Radial Artery Harvesting, and Femoral Vessel Exposure Place central and arterial lines, insert chest tubes, and perform suturing Qualifications Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited program NP or PA certification and New Jersey license required DEA and CDS credentials required ACLS and BLS certification required Minimum 2-3 years of critical care or cardiology experience Excellent communication and computer skills Strong work ethic; team player who can work independently Benefits Competitive per-diem rate Comprehensive malpractice policy Outstanding growth and mentorship opportunities Note: In compliance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act (effective Sunday, June 1, 2025), all job postings will include the hourly wage or salary (or a range), as well as a summary of benefits.
